Threatens the UK’s international obligations to protect refugees and victims of human trafficking and modern slavery;
Eliminates vital domestic human rights protections;
It is not compliant with UK’s international commitments on refugee and human rights: The 1951 Refugee Convention, an international treaty to which the UK is a party, expressly prohibits penalising asylum seekers and refugees on account of their irregular entry.
