Petition Action

For the existence of children's health record of red books to be bought back.

Petition Details

Would like them to reinstate the use of the children red health book, aswell as having it online.
Not everyone has Internet access and sometimes in emergencies Internet is limited and signal is almost non existent.

Additional Information

Because like myself in an emergency situation I could give the doctor, paediatric nurses a red book and they instantly know what my child has had. If their systems go down they cannot access vital information that is needed to treat accordingly.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Red books are required at a child's health review, as noted here: www.nhs.uk/conditions/baby/babys-development/height-weight-and-reviews/baby-reviews/
