Petition Details

This petition calls for a ban on OTC (over the counter) sales of medicines containing codeine, such as Nurofen Plus and Co-codamol.

Additional Information

Stop the sale over the counter of any medicine containing codeine. These medicines should only be available on prescription, to reduce access to these medicines and help prevent addiction to codeine, and the health problems which also arise as a result of overuse of ibuprofen and paracetamol, which are also present in these medicines.
