Ban the culling of male chicks in egg production.
I would like parliament to debate the banning of male chick culling in egg production.
This is a barbaric and unnecessary part of the egg production process. it happens because male chickens don't lay eggs, so there is no use for them. They are therefore killed by being gassed or even macerated while alive.
This process doesn't need to happen and can be replaced by selective breeding, as happens in countries such as Germany, France and Switzerland.
