Ban MPs from voting when they have a financial interest
We demand HM government change the rules so that:
(a) Any MP who has a pecuniary (financial) interest that conflicts with the matter before them, they may not participate in any vote on that matter.
(b) a member who has a relevant interest that may not be financial, but prejudicial to the matter before them, may also not participate in any vote on that matter.
Local government councillors must already abide by these rules imposed on them by the House of Commons. We the public think MPs should also abide by these rules.
