Review of state pension to allow for cost of Net Zero Carbon policy targets.
The Governments initiative to enforce net zero carbon targets and polices upon the UK public will come at a cost to every UK citizen. Has the UK Government allowed for this increased burden upon those who are retired and living on the UK state pension?
The UK Government should include net zero carbon target discount relief for those who are living off state pension. Relief on Utility bills, relief on cost of public transport, relief to owning a vehicle. The past Governments over the last 50 years haven’t built into state pension payments for the cost of Net Zero Carbon targets and policies. This has come at a cost to current retirees and those likely to retire over the next fifty years.
