Improve support for students with epilepsy, and teaching about it in schools
There are 600,000 people with epilepsy living in the UK, around one in every 100 people. Every day, 87 people are diagnosed with the condition. In my opinion there is not enough support in schools for students who have the condition, or awareness of this condition.
The lack of support for students with epilepsy, and lack of awareness of this condition, can have a negative impact on students, affecting their education and mental wellbeing.
We want the Government to provide funding to schools to improve support in schools for students who have epilepsy, and require schools to teach students about epilepsy, to raise awareness of this condition.
