Place an immediate stop on strip searches of children by police
We are petitioning the Home Secretary to immediately stop the strip searching of children by police
We were shocked, angered and dismayed by the Children's Commissioners recent report into the strip searching of children which found:-
- thousands of children - some as young as 8 - have been stripped searched by police across the country;
- Black children are 6 times as likely to be victims and therefore disproportionately targeted by police
We are inviting people from across communities to join us in demanding that the Home Secretary immediately place a stop on strip searches of children by police
