Stop lazy drivers pushing into traffic at motorway junctions
Drivers stop in the lane next to the turn-off and indicate where traffic moving at speed behind is made to stop. There will be a terrible accident if something isn't done, just one distracted driver.
Parliament needs to force National Highways to put in place measures to stop this from happening.
I think it's clear that lives will be ruined or lost, and families will be destroyed if simple measures aren't put in place by National Highways. It's just a matter of time.
A line of bollards to stop drivers pushing in on motorway junctions would be a simple idea, the cost would not be huge but the lives saved could be many. Or a barrier to stop any drivers from being stupid and stopping traffic on a moving lane because they are too lazy to join the queue.
Parliament needs to act now!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about the design of motorway junctions, including any physical structures to prevent late lane changing, are an operational matter for National Highways, not a decision for the UK Government or Parliament.
