Windows XP support
I have noticed that the British government are paying Microsoft £5.5 million for the continued support of Windows XP which a lot of government systems still use.
I and probably a million other users in this country, including thousands of small businesses, still use XP and have no intention of moving on to Windows 7 or 8 as they are basically entertainment systems whereas we want a computing system.
A lack of security could be a severe threat to small businesses.
As a taxpayer, and therefore contributing towards the Microsoft support, I would like our goverment to share any Windows XP security updates with its citizens.
A practical way of doing so would be to make them available for download from a government website.
