Ban XL bully & American bully breeds in UK Add the breeds to Dangerous Dogs Act
Add Bully XL and American bully breeds to the the list of dangerous dogs on the Dangerous Dogs Act alongside pit bull terriers and Dogo Argentino. There have been many stories recently in the news about Bully XL maulings and killings.
These dogs have been bred to the point of deformity by U.K. breeders who are looking for traits such as large muscle and fighting instincts. These breeders also crop the dogs ears to make them look how they like. These dogs are dangerous and being used as a status symbol by individuals who are failing to train them leading to bites and maulings. See the recent bbc Panorama documentary Dogs, Dealers and Organised Crime for reference.
