Provide leniency to GCSE students during Summer Exams
We call on the UK Government and the Secretary of Education, including Ofqual, to change guidance on GCSE Summer Exams 2023. Millions of students across the country, including myself, have lost many hours of education due to the teachers strikes.
Personally, I have lost more than 30 hours of education, and will lose more due to the upcoming NEU Strikes. Across the country, many will be in the same position as me. We want to be able to perform our best in our exams, and this can only be done right now if exams are marked with leniency or we are offered advanced information. If these requirements are not met, millions of students will be left in a disadvantaged position, and the government will bear the consequences of a failed generation.
