Allow for a gender neutral option on all legal documents, Such as “X” or “N”
I would like the Government and Parliament to consider adding a third gender neutral option people who are non-binary or do not wish to disclose their gender identity (for example intersex people who have different features of both sexes.
In a time where trans individuals are receiving the most attack than they have ever before, non-binary individuals are feeling pushed aside when it comes to self identification. The last time a petition of this type was requested was over 3 years ago where the world is in a very different place on trans rights. This option would allow for more protection for a wider trans population in the UK and would also require amendments to the equality act to allow protection gender neutral individuals.
