Accountability for decision to release offenders
Hold individuals who sit on committees responsible for releasing prisoners or people with mental health issues who, after release, then go on to commit serious crimes accountable for their decisions.
As an example, if someone is released and then commits murder, then those responsible for making the decision to release that individual should be charged with something to ensure they realise the significance of getting these decisions right in order to protect the public.
