MPs to face criminal charges if found to be misusing expenses.
In a time where British Taxpayers are struggling to afford the upkeep of one home, we request that MPs who have been found to be fraudulently claiming expenses to fund second homes face criminal charges and repay any monies that is found to have been claimed.
This flagrant abuse of power, as highlighted by the Maria Miller case, is not only dishonest, but also insulting.
Ordinary people that are found to be fraudulently claiming benefits automatically face criminal charges and the blatant double standards that this implies only serves to exacerbate the social disparity between politician and the working taxpayer.
