Call to end the war in Sudan, warn external powers not to arm the belligerents.
Demand a permanent end to hostilities between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces. Call on both the international and regional powers to refrain from providing military support to the belligerents, whether through arms supplies, financial or logistical support, or the use of air power.
The UN Secretary-General describes the situation in Sudan as ‘catastrophic’ (https://www.reuters.com/article/sudan-politics-un-idAFW1N35402D). In recent times, a variety of governments have provided military and financial support to both the army and the Rapid Support Forces. Experts are warning that external powers will aggravate the conflict either by arming the belligerents or intervening directly (https://apnews.com/article/sudan-conflict-nile-africa-russia-03adebaff0c95992c6f90543dcb2c894).
