Do not allow current or ex-PMs to award knighthoods to family members
Knighthoods, peerages and other awards should not be dished out to people becuase they are family members (or close friends or partners) of the person giving the award - they should be given due to merit, integrity and achievement.
Boris Johnson is making a mockery of the honours system by putting forward his own father for a knighthood.
