Prioritise probable cancer patients receiving biopsy results
Reduce the waiting time for biopsy results to less than 2-3 weeks, for urgent referrals due to the high-level anxiety uncertainty causes.
We proved through Covid that when a crisis hits more hospitals can be built and staff recruited when it is a priority. Therefore, I can only deduce that suspected cancer patients and their families are not a priority which is unacceptable morally, ethically and medically. Cancer patients need early diagnosis in order to save lives as for some suspected cancer patients time is their enemy. Some suspected cancer patients do not have the luxury of time. Therefore, time is of the essence.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about NHS services are a matter for the NHS, not the UK Government or Parliament. However, we may be able to accept a petition calling on the Government to increase funding to reduce NHS waiting times for biopsies for cancer patients.
