Stop paying NI when you have reached eligibility for state pension, or retire
Review NI contributions, unfair that you work all your life and as I at 62 have paid fully NI to allow me a full state pension but have to work 5 more years. AND still continue paying NI.
People who work hard all their lives are penalized, and when you get older work gets harder. If you retire at 67 you possibly only have 10 years if your lucky to enjoy your life.
Let this generation retire and allow the spaces to be given to the younger generation who have more energy to move business forward

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you're concerned about existing arrangements for the State Pension, but we're not sure if you want the Government to stop National Insurance contributions once someone has qualified for a full State Pension, or allow people to claim the State Pension early, if they enough qualifying years on their National Insurance record.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
