Ban smoking in public places
Stops smokers being allowed to smoke in public places. Smoking should only be allowed in allocated areas where smokers can go so that non-smokers (including children) do not have to breathe it in.
This law could help achieve the Government's plan to make England smokefree by 2030
We all know that smoking is bad, and we all know that second hand smoke is bad too. It can cause all kinds of issues such as Asthma. It's not fair that children and those who choose not to smoke, should be exposed to second hand smoke in public places.
There could be allocated areas in town centres that smokers could use, like a smoking shelter. This would mean that non-smokers are not exposed to second hand smoke, and it should help keep the ground clear of cigarettes that many people just toss on the ground.
