Set pay rises to Nurses and Junior Doctors at the level of increase in benefits
Legislate so that the pay award to Doctors and nurses is never less than the increase given to pensioners and other benefit claimants
This year as pensioners my wife and I received a 10.1% increase in our state pensions and other benefits were increased by the same rate. To continue to receive that benefit we need only stay alive yet the nurses who together with doctors keep us alive (literally in my wife's case when she needed heart surgery and then treatment for cancer) have been offered only half that amount for nurses and no offer at all to doctors. We did not clap three years ago to support hedge fund managers and bankers
