The UK government to centrally manage ordering and supply of HRT medications.
The government needs to centrally manage and control stock levels of HRT, to ensure demand meets supply of HRT to avoid shortages. The govt also needs to ask why Utrogestan is the only bio identical progesterone available when it is a vital medication to reduce the risk of endometrial cancer.
Pass an Act of Parliament, or introduce/update regulations to ensure supply and demand for HRT is within the remit of the government. That a study is commissioned to examine supply chains, and that HRT, which is a vital medication for many women is not just left to the mercy of private companies.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about sourcing pharmaceuticals are a matter for health providers, and decisions about where to manufacture pharmaceuticals are a matter for individual pharmaceutical companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government has issued a Serious Shortage Protocol (SSP) for Utrogestan® 100mg capsules: www.gov.uk/government/news/supply-update-hormone-replacement-therapy-medication-utrogestan
The Government has also said that it continues to monitor the HRT supply position very closely and work together with industry, the NHS and other key partners to help ensure the continuity of supply of HRT medicines across the UK for everyone that needs them.
We could accept a petition calling for the Government to review supply of and access to HRT medications, if that's something you'd like to happen.
