The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
In October 2022 the Government said that it remains supportive of airport expansion where it can be delivered within our environmental obligations.
Heathrow expansion is a private sector project, so decisions about pursuing this are a matter for Heathrow Airport, not the UK Government or Parliament.
