Deed not Breed change the laws of the dangerous dog act 1991
In 1991 the Dangerous Dogs act was brought in.
This meant certain breeds of dogs were no longer allowed to be owned, sold or bread within the UK, These include the breeds: Pit-Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brazilero, Although a banned dog depends on what it looks like and not the breed.
If you have a 'banned breed' your local authorities have the right to take it away regardless of its behaviour. Whilst your dog is being checked on whether it is a danger to the public your dog will either be release or kept in kennels (You are NOT allowed to visit YOUR dog if being kept in kennels).
Once at court it is your responsibility to prove your dog is not a banned dog, if this fails you yourself face a £5000 pound fine or 6 months in prison whilst your dog regardless of its breed and behaviour will be put to sleep.
Change the dogs act so banned breeds are judged on their behaviour and not the breed (DEED NOT BREED).
