Airlines to protect tall people from DVT and factor disadvantage on long flights
Reserve leg room seats for passengers above 6’ and/or with lower body challenges at no additional cost. Paying is an inequity as tall people will most need it.
Reform airline policy regarding when/how/if/should passengers recline seats.
Educate staff on suffering tall people may face.
As an example, I am 6’3 living with osteoporosis. IfI am in a tight seat then my knees are pressed against the seat in front of me. If anyone in front reclines, even in an extra legroom space, that person is bracing on my knees. In both cases, not only am I in pain but I am locked in which could lead to DVT, o have had to walk aisles for hours for relief and blood flow on many flights because of this even though I’ve paid like everyone else (most times paid more). Our complaints go unheard.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about seating arrangements for flights, including what seats passengers are allocated, and whether to charge for the allocation of particular seats, are a matter for individual airlines, not the UK Government or Parliament.
