Make joint tenancies easier to get out of when victims flee from domestic abuse.
Change the law on domestic abuse. Victims are already able to seek housing from authorities but it’s not easy if they’re trapped in contracts such as tenancies with their perpetrator. Meaning they’re liable for rent arrears after fleeing and difficult to sign new tenancies for new properties.
