Petition Action

Students under the age of 16 should be allowed to access all tfl for free.

Petition Details

I would like the Government/Parliament to make oyster cards for kids/teenagers under the age of 16 that they have free access to every single TfL transport there is, that is including underground and overground.

Additional Information

In my opinion I want the Government/Parliament to do it as it would decrease the amount of people pushing through the gates in underground/overground. This will also be useful as it will save a bunch of money for parents/carers.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. It is the responsibility of Transport for London, the Mayor of London and the London Assembly.

The London Assembly has its own petitions process. You can find out more about how to petition the London Assembly here: www.london.gov.uk/about-us/london-assembly/petitions

You could start a petition calling on the Government to fund free public transport for under 16s, if this is something you would like to see happen.
