Petition Action

Debate Independence Scotland

Additional Information

This petition formally requests that the current UK Prime Minister David Cameron take part in a televised debate with Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond, regarding Scottish independence.

This debate is undoubtedly in the interest of the Scotland and the UK as whole.
Despite an overwhelming desire by the UK public to see this debate, the PM has acted against the interests and demands of the public thus far...
So we, the citizens & electorate, have no option but to demand action by way of this petition.

Continual avoidance from Downing St. is prohibiting the people of Scotland from making a fair and informed decision regarding the 2014 referendum.

It's now time that the Prime Minister of the UK to finally take his responsibility as leader of the UK government seriously and take his place in the debate.

If this truly IS a democracy we trust that we will see the televised debate Britain expects and deserves.
