Petition Details

Suicides within the construction industry are increasing year by year. I want my government to really take action and make 12 hour shifts illegal. I myself have had to work 12 hour shifts containing abnormal shift rotations and I can tell you now that these NEED to STOP!

Additional Information

We believe people in this country who work 12 hour shifts have no time to exercise, spend quality time with loved ones, eat properly, have enough sleep etc. Enough is enough, this is the United Kingdom and it is time to take a stand for your construction industry. Over 500+ men and woman are taking their own lives yearly and this number continues to grow.
