Cap profits that supermarkets can make in the UK.
The supermarkets are making too much profit and any penalties put on supermarkets will be taken out on the farmer.
People can't afford to feed their families while supermarkets are making record breaking profits.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned by the amount of profit being made by some supermarkets, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
Your petition refers to a cap on profits, but we're not sure how you want this to work in practice.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to implement a 100% tax on profits over a certain level, if that's what you want to happen. If you want the Government to do something else you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
