Recognise endometriosis and adenomyosis as chronic illness by law
I would like the government to make it law that women of all stages of endomitosis and adenomyosis are seen as chronic long term conditions by law as we have to suffer each day with pain, fatigue, mental health issues, bring fog, sleep issues ,mood swings and more.
I want the government to stand up for us women with adenomyosis and endometriosis and pass law that this is recognised as a chronic long term illness so that those who suffer can get additional help and so that companies can not discriminate against us. I want more research to be done for better understanding of this disease and possible long term cures.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government's guidance on disability under the Equality Act 2010 states that you’re disabled if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities:
www.gov.uk/definition-of-disability-under-equality-act-2010
There is not a list of conditions that meet this definition, but it is therefore already the case that under the Equality Act, anyone with a physical or a mental condition which has a substantial and long-term impact on your ability to do normal day to day activities is protected under the disability protected characteristic. This could cover people who have endometriosis or adenomyosis, where this has a a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on their ability to do normal daily activities.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to fund additional research into endometriosis and adenomyosis, to improve understanding of these conditions and identify new treatments.
