Arranging or paying for alternative transport should fall to train operators if they fail to provide train services within a given timeframe. Delays and cancellations can cause frustration and further financial hardship. Everyone should be assured that their journey will be fulfilled.

Make it mandatory for train operators to arrange alternative transport, or compensation to cover such, where train services have been cancelled or delayed.

Delays and cancellations can result in frustration, additional expenses and hospitality arrangements which may be particularly troublesome in the current cost of living crisis. This should help to improve the nation's tourism and transportation outlook in such events, as everyone should be able to traverse the country with further peace of mind.
