Oil palm trees 20m hectares in rain forrests. 6b trees! 1 tree 80l of ho2 per d
To urgently review the harm to climate as a result of the proliferationnl of oil palm. Both in terms of water consumption and change to environment. 6 billion trees and increasing every year to produce this crop. It is a net user of water. Whereas before the rain forrest did just that produce rain.
I lived on malaysia in 1997 when the m government allowed the deforrestation. Its criminal. Use google earth and see for yourself. East malaysia. 20 million hectares of oil palm plantations. 300 trees per hectare. 80 litres of water per day and i understand that is conservative. The numbers are mind boogling. Thank you very much. For our childres benefit.
