Establish a whole Month of Remebrance
I would like the memory of our country's brave fallen to be remembered nationally for more than just a minute and a day
I would urge the powers that be to do the right thing and bring the act of remembering the brave souls that made the ultimate sacrifice in the trenches of ww1 and the beaches of ww2 more inline with the modern ways of "celebrating and being gratefull".
If not for them we would likely not have a voice in modern society today under another regime.
As modern brits with voices and opinions, we owe that to them.
The least we can do is give them a month like some have
We Remember them! Will you?
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not exactly sure what you'd like a month of remembrance to look like and therefore what action you'd like the Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition calling for the Government to provide funding for remembrance events for the month around Remembrance Day, if that's something you'd like to happen.
We could also accept petitions about national holidays if you'd like to see one created for remembrance.
