Recognise the 30th November as 'Sir Winston Churchill Day'.
Parliament officially recognises the 30th November (the day Winston S. Churchill was born) as 'Sir Winston Churchill Day'.
For all his many faults and failures, Sir Winston Churchill rose to the occasion in one of humanity's darkest hours.
Were it not for his courage, determination and inspiration to fight on, the fate of the free world could have been very different today.
We should remember and celebrate such an extraordinary life.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
The Government is responsible for designating bank holidays, so we could accept a petition calling on the Government to make 30 November a bank holiday, in recognition of Sir Winston Churchill, but the Government and Parliament are not otherwise responsible for appointing days to recognise specific individuals.
