Provide interest-free loans for Muslim university students
Interest on student loans means Muslim students are forced to partake in a major sin as according to Islamic ruling. This petition aims for an alternative where students can pay back what they have borrowed without the additional interest rates.
Interest based loans make it difficult for Muslims to attain careers that require university education.
Allah says, “Those who eat Ribaa (usury) will not stand on the Day of Resurrection except like the standing of a person beaten by Satan leading him to insanity.”
The Prophet (PBUH) also says, “Gold is to be paid for by gold, silver by silver, barley by barley, like by like, payment being made hand to hand. He who made an addition to it, or asked for an addition, in fact dealt in usury.”
