Do not require schools to inform parents of a child's gender identity.
Do not require schools or teachers to inform parents of a child's sexuality or gender identity. Furthermore, do not require parent consent or permission to use a child's preferred pronouns.
Informing parents of a child's gender identity, without the child's consent is a breach in the privacy and safety of the child. Many children that are questioning their gender identity may not feel safe to do so at home or to inform their parents.
The government has an absolute obligation to protect all children from discrimination, abuse and harassment.
