Formally recognise CIC's as a non-profit charitable/charity organisation.
Formally recognise Community Interest Companies (CIC) as a form of non-profit charitable/charity organisation.
CIC do a lot of good for the community, individual and even other charities.
Unless a company or organisation independently sees CIC as a charitable non-profit organisation CIC's gets little or no help or support. They can not gain funding or get fundraising from educational institutes and more.
This forces a lot of CIC to close, this needs to change and see CIC formations recognised as a charitable non-profit organisations.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
It is up to individual organisations whether they wish to register as a CIC or as a charity. We could accept a petition calling for changes to the rules governing CICs, or charities.
