Make politicians criminally liable
Make politicians criminally liable for telling lies that result in harm to the public. I want to see an open debate on the subject followed by a mandatory vote on creating a bill that makes politicians at least as liable as medical staff when it comes to negligence or dereliction of duty.
I want this bill to lead to an act that will result in the first examples of politicians criminally convicted for any examples of extortion of the public purse and for any examples of nepotism that involve favouring personal contacts with the provision of contracts without a full and transparent tender process.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
There is already a criminal offence of misconduct in public office, as well as legislation and parliamentary rules in place in respect of corruption, and it's not clear what new measures you want to be established.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
