Ban cyclists from using pedestrian pavements
Give pedestrians the right of way over cyclists on pedestrian pavements to stop injuries to pedestrians. The highway act of 1835 is out of date.
Make it law that cyclists aged 11 and over are not allowed to ride on pedestrian pavements. The highway act of 1835 is out of date it states Section 72 of the Highway Act 1835 and the Highway Code suggest it's not legal for a cyclist to ride their bike on the pavement. Section 72 of the Highway Act 1835 prohibits “wilfully riding” on footpaths, which refers to the path at the side of a carriageway.
