Update laws & policies to allow the exclusion of males from female-only spaces
Update current laws and policies to allow the exclusion of males, despite how they identify, from female-only spaces, such as women's domestic violence shelters and female prisons. Maintaining these spaces will help keep women safe from rape and violence.
Survivors of sexual assault rely on shelters and support groups as safe havens where they can find solace among those with similar experiences, and rebuild their futures. Broadening access to males will discourage survivors from seeking assistance or inflict further emotional distress.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Equality Act 2010 already allows for provision of single-sex services, including single-sex services that exclude trans persons, where this is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim.
