Allow passengers to travel on trains carrying e-scooters.
Currently e-scooter users are banned from bringing their scooters onto trains due to the potential of their Lithium-Ion batteries overheating. Lithium-Ion batteries can be found in numerous electronic devices and the risk of overheating is very small. E-scooters should be allowed on trains.
E-scooters are a compact, lightweight and affordable way for people to get around towns and cities. It gives people independence to travel, but now this rule to disallow them on trains takes away this freedom from people.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can only accept petitions about things the Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about whether to permit passengers to travel with an e-scooter are a matter for individual train companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.
