Introduce a stamp duty holiday to help the housing market
Many are worried about house prices falling and interest rates making moving home unaffordable. I propose a stamp duty holiday lasting 2 years to boost the UK property market. This should be at 0% up to £500,000.
Some people are too worried about property costs to move home and are "staying put". Announcing a stamp duty holiday should boost all the trades associated with new home ownership. Solicitors, estate agents, decorators, home furnishers and furniture removal companies.
