Create legislation allowing parliament to remove peerages.
Create legislation that will allow members of parliament to strip peerages from those who have been granted them unfairly.
To protect the credibility of our law making system is is imperative that only the most deserving and capable people are allowed to have influence upon our laws. The current system allows peerages to be granted to individuals who have either done nothing to deserve this right. This causes not only a lack of credibility but a risk to national security.

We could accept a petition calling for a mechanism for removing members of the House of Lords to be introduced, but it would need to be clear how you want this to work.
