The Government must protect citizens from AI hacking & digital cloning.
AI misuse is alarming, from identity theft & fraud to personal data loss. Inaction exposes citizens to life-altering risks that could have otherwise been avoided. Therefore, the Government must take bold steps to enact laws that protect citizens' data & regulate the use of AI in specific industries.
Potential solutions include establishing a regulatory framework and ethical guidelines and creating a national AI development and usage strategy to achieve the potential of AI misuse. These measures will balance the benefits of AI with the need for regulation, ensuring that the risks of AI misuse are minimised, and the potential benefits of AI are fully realised.
