Let people pay for Covid booster vaccination if not eligible for free NHS one.
Many people, especially those aged 50-64 years are no longer eligible for a free, NHS Covid booster vaccination this autumn - yet they still wish to protect themselves. Make the jabs available at cost in the same way people can sign up for a seasonal flu jab. Let people have the choice.
Allow private clinics, pharmacies and other organisations to administer Covid vaccine boosters (for people not eligible for a free, NHS one). So that people can still obtain protection if they so wish, in the same way annual flu jabs and other inoculations for overseas travel are available.
At present the Covid vaccination is only available on the NHS at the JVCI's recommendation. Covid immunity wanes over time, so let people decide for themselves if they are willing to pay for a booster.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Vaccines that have been licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency for use in the United Kingdom can be prescribed by a physician, either in the National Health Service or privately.
The Government has said that, as yet, the pharmaceutical companies producing COVID-19 vaccines have not made these treatments commercially available to the private health care sector in the UK either through pharmacies or other healthcare providers, but this is a matter for pharmaceutical companies, not the Government or Parliament.
