Create a National Screening Program for Prostate Cancer
As part of the over 50's NHS Health Check automatically include a PSA test for all men.
Over 52000 men are diagnoses and over 12000 die of prostate cancer a year, a large number of these deaths happen and the men see no symptoms. An automatic PSA test of men over the age of 50, although not the best answer will be a step in the right direction.
Looking at the numbers related to other National screening program, 3200 cervical cancer cases are found a year and 57000 breast cancer cases, it seems prostate cancer has been left behind and it's about time this is corrected.
