Reduce school summer holidays to four weeks

Petition Details

Most schools have summer holidays for six weeks. We want the Government to require schools to shorten the summer holiday to four weeks. If desired other holidays could be made longer to make up for this.

Additional Information

We believe summer holidays are too long, and that four weeks off would be plenty. Many parents struggle to arrange childcare or other activities over the summer holidays, and we believe six weeks is too long for children to go without the routine and structure of school.
