Create a half penny (£0.005) coin

Petition Details

We want the Government to direct the Royal Mint to create a half penny coin, worth 1/200th of a pound.

Additional Information

This would allow for the price of products to be changed more incrementally. For example, something could cost 94 1/2p rather than 95p.

Manufacturing the half penny would also help the copper mining industry, and be of interest to coin collectors.
