Commission NICE to review guidelines on chronic pain

Petition Details

The Government should commission NICE to review its guidelines to look into whether some patients are suffering due to inadequate pain relief.

Additional Information

Current NICE guidance recommends that opioids should not be used for chronic primary pain. A review could help ensure NICE's guidance doesn't result in unnecessary suffering for those with chronic non-cancer pain (CNCP).
